Once again, ExtraTax Training’s ADIT students significantly outperformed the CIOT’s pass rate of 61%. An impressive 88% of students achieved a first-time pass in this compulsory module. These results are for students who completed the course across our Core, Select and Extra packages.

Principles of International Tax pass rates have increased from the December 2024 sitting - when 75% of students passed the exam, compared to an average pass rate of 49% for all candidates sitting the exam.

Students on the Principles of International Tax course frequently praise:

ExtraTax Training’s Module 3.03 students again achieved a 100% pass rate in the TP exam - for the third time out of the last four exam sittings! These results are for students who completed the courses across our Core, Select and Extra packages, plus bespoke courses for employers.

Comparing ExtraTax Training’s results with the average pass rates for ADIT over the past four semesters:

The results for December 2023 and December 2024 include 100% first-time passes for two cohorts of graduate trainees working in a Big 4 Transfer Pricing team. ExtraTax Training worked with the firm to design an ADIT course to fit around the business needs, enabling these students to achieve the standalone ADIT Transfer Pricing certificate while also studying for their Chartered Accountant exams.

For the second exam sitting in a row, ExtraTax Training’s Module 2.09 pass rate for students participating in its taught course were 100%. These students significantly outperformed the average CIOT pass rates of 62% and 54% for June 2025 and December 2024 respectively. These results are for students who completed the course across our Core, Select and Extra packages.

Our students for Module 2.09 are diverse, with 50% of successful students over the last two semesters coming from outside the UK. Their roles are also varied - ranging from graduates on the ACA CTA Joint Pathway to in-house tax professionals with limited exposure to UK tax to senior tax professionals with many years of UK tax experience.

UK Tax students consistently praise ExtraTax Training’s study manuals for their concise, easy-to-read style - taking much of the pain out of studying after a long day in the office! Like all ExtraTax Training's courses, the emphasis on past paper practice with comprehensive tutor feedback plays a crucial role in students' exceptional results.

ExtraTax Training is also celebrating a 100% pass rate in Module 2.10 for the second year in a row. In the June 2025 exam sitting, ADIT candidates from five different countries - none of whom came from the US - achieved first-time passes in this paper. The average CIOT pass rates for US Tax were 64% and 50% for June 2025 and June 2024 respectively.

This represents a remarkable achievement for these ADIT US Tax students, as getting to grips with the US tax system is challenging. Students consistently highlight the tutor's effectiveness in explaining complex terminology and concepts through numerous practical examples, demonstrating how to apply the principles in the exam. 

Similarly, Module 2.06 students are celebrating 100% first-time pass rates for the second year in a row.

While this remains a niche paper, it has significant growth potential both inside and outside Ireland. This is clear from the increased level of enquires for the ADIT Irish Tax course for June 2026.
