Why study ADIT Transfer Pricing with ExtraTax Training?

Consistently high pass rates

Our students have significantly outperformed the CIOT average at recent sittings. Every ExtraTax Training student passed the ADIT TP module in both December 2025 and June 2025, against CIOT averages of 64% and 66% respectively.

Small live classes with recordings

Live online classes are small enough that you can ask your tutor questions and join in discussions, rather than just watching a lecture. Every class is recorded, so you never fall behind if work gets in the way. You can also rewatch the trickier topics as many times as you need before the exam.

No study leave required

Weekly Monday late afternoon tuition classes and weekend revision sessions mean you can prepare for your ADIT exam without taking time away from work. Kristen Gillanders, our Client Relations Manager, is on hand throughout your studies to support you.

Meet your tutor

Jimmy Ryan AITI, CTA, ADIT taught our ADIT Transfer Pricing course at every exam sitting from ExtraTax Training's first in December 2020 through to December 2025, and returns to teach the course for the December 2026 exams. His students' results speak for themselves: a 100% pass rate across both 2025 exam sittings, multiple students who completed ADIT with distinction, and the winner of the Croner-i Prize for the best worldwide performance in the Transfer Pricing exam.

Jimmy holds the ADIT qualification himself, so he understands the exam from a student's perspective as well as a tutor's. His teaching style is direct and practical. He focuses on the areas that matter most and works through the OECD Transfer Pricing Guidelines in a way that builds real technical expertise you can use in your day-to-day work. Alongside the technical content, he shares the exam tips and techniques that help his students walk into the exam feeling prepared.

Frequently asked questions

What does the ADIT Transfer Pricing module cover?

Module 3.03 covers transfer pricing in depth, following the OECD Transfer Pricing Guidelines as the primary source. Topics covered across the ten weeks include: fundamentals of transfer pricing and the arm's length principle; transfer pricing methods and comparability; functional analysis and entity characterisation; intra-group services; intangible property and cost contribution arrangements; financial transactions; permanent establishments; transfer pricing documentation and dispute resolution; business restructurings and recharacterisation; and recent developments including BEPS Actions 8-10 and Amount B.

How is the course structured?

You attend ten weekly online tuition classes of 2 hours each, running on Monday evenings from 4pm to 6pm UK time. We encourage you to attend live to join in discussions and ask questions, but recordings are available to catch up if you miss a class or want to revisit a topic.

Classes are followed by weekly assignments to build your knowledge and exam technique. Towards the end of the course, weekend revision classes consolidate your understanding, with pre- and post-revision mock exams providing individual feedback before the sitting.

What study materials are included?

All packages include an online subscription to the Bloomsbury International Tax Service, giving you access to Global Transfer Pricing: Principles and Practice by Henshall and Donegan and wider reference material.

The course is tuition-led and focuses on working through the source materials directly — primarily the OECD Transfer Pricing Guidelines and the OECD Model Tax Convention — supported by high quality lecture slides available to all students. You build your knowledge week by week through live classes, weekly assignments and tutor feedback. The Extra package additionally includes a hard copy of the core text delivered to you.

How long do I have access to course materials?

This depends on the package you choose. For the December 2026 exam:
  • Core gives you access until 31 December 2026.
  • Select extends this to 30 June 2027.
  • Extra gives you access until 31 December 2027.

Do I need to take study leave?

No, study leave is not essential. The course is designed to fit around your working life. Weekly tuition classes and weekend revision sessions mean you can study without disrupting your working week. Class recordings allow you to catch up or revisit topics at a time that suits you.
